Gosh, we take so many photos in a year it's almost impossible to pick our own best. These are some that I like the best whether or not they are my best, lol. Perhaps we should let others choose our best, just a thought.

I've enjoyed so many great photos from talented photographers through my time on NV, and seen things I'll never get to see for myself, for that I am very grateful to you all for sharing your treasures.

Awesome collection, DTH! I love them all, but "Ghost" and "Autumn" are my favorites. You do great work!

Thanks Holly, it helps when the models co-operate, lol. I hope to learn my camera settings better this year and be able to do a better job, or save my pennies and get a new camera.

Great set of images, DTH! I love them all but the first one and "Don King" really stand out for me. And you did make me laugh with that heron! :)

Wonderful shots, Dare! I have to go with 5 and 6 as my favorites. Don King is just plain cute, but I love the lines and layers of number 6! I think you did it just right!

Thanks etva, I'll always remember the Don King shot, those little birds were so hot. The heron shot was a beautiful just after dawn in the park shot and I was really surprised how the waves turned out.

Oh Dare! Great choices. Of course I love the hummers and the chickadee; amazing and adorable. I love the shadows cast across Ghost and the duck is just a fantastic shot. The detail in the pampas grass is lovely and your fall picture is stunning. And then you have fun shots of the woodpecker and Don King:) and the heron could be a postcard. Very creative mix with a little touch of all the varieties. Nicely put together. I know it was tough for you because all your hummingbirds were all so very gorgeous and ornament like. These are all so perfect. Thank you Dare!! Thoroughly enjoyed perusing♥

Thank you Anna, like I said, we take so many and they all mean something to us so it's hard to choose. It's got to be tough for all of us to try to choose what we think is the best of our own shots :) I do love my Hummers and could have posted 100 of the ones I like.

Thank you rottlady! I spent most of the summer on Hummers and AMac's recommendations in the last few months of shooting them...he of course was right. Thank you for coming by to check them out.

Great Portfolio Dare! Autumn(#10) is awesome. I think you should do something with that one, a card, a poster, part of a calender. It has potential imo. I use to work for an art college, the students always showed me their work, even though I was the Financial Aid Director. LOL.

Thanks bobby, it's hard to pick your own best shots since we all see things differently, but I've always liked that little area of my road (#10). It's almost a complete canopy overhead thru the fall. It's also where alot of deer cross the road and jump the bank, very scary when they do that.

How in the world did you get those close ups of the hummers? These are great. Thanks.

I keep thinking I should buy a camera and document my next woodworking project for all to see. You have inspired me.

Thanks grump! I was only about 14" from them using the document setting on my camera, they're so used to me it doesn't bother them.

Yes! Get a camera and let us see what you're working on from start to finish, that would be great!

Thank you Mrs D♥...it's easier to pick someone else's best to me, than to pick my own. Did you see my article from the summer about this nest? That's where "Don King" comes in. They were so hot I really didn't know if they would make it but there's a photo in that article showing 2 of them leaving the nest, all of them made it. My sign is the "caretaker" and I can do some serious worrying about everything, but animals are my weakness...ergo...the 8 cats, 3 dogs, and 2 birds. lol. I'm glad you enjoyed him, he's out there eating in the bird lot I'm sure :)
